OUR PHILANTHROPY
Kappa Deltas are inspired to act. Philanthropy and service are central to our sisterhood, and each of our sisters serve others in countless ways across our communities. Nationally, we support Prevent Child Abuse America, our local beneficiary being the Parenting Place of Easley, and have a partnership with the Girl Scouts of America. We also support the Confidence Coalition and incorporate this initiative into all aspects of being a sister.
PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AMERICA
Our largest philanthropy event, our Shamrock ‘n’ Run 5K, is held annually to raise money for PCAA, a philanthropy committed to preventing abuse and neglect of our nation’s children. This past year, we raised over $75,000 for PCAA and The Parenting Place of Easley, which aims to break the cycle of abuse in the community through education programs, family counseling, and home visits.
GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA
Kappa Delta sisters serve as mentors and volunteers to our Girl Scouts. Our chapter hosts confidence-building programs, educational events, and campus tours with local Girl Scout troops, creating a close-knit relationship with these future leaders within our community. We love having them come to the hall for Trick or Treating, celebrating Valentine's Day, and selling cookies!
